Faculty will mentor student research projects; provideservice to the university and community; and have activeinvolvement in clinically relevant research and scholarship.Scholarly activities, such as publishing and presenting on aregional and national platform are a plus. Participation incommunity projects and our on-campus occupational therapy clinic isrequired.Qualifications: Doctorate in Occupational Therapy or arelated field; licensed or eligibility for NJ Occupational Therapylicensure; previous teaching experience and research preferred aswell as a minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience isrequired.This is a ten-month, full-time, tenure-track assignment at the rankof Assistant Professor, effective for the Fall 2021 semester.Teaching assignments and related responsibilities may include day,evening, weekend and online courses. Courses may be taught at theUnion campus, Kean Ocean, Kean Skylands or other locations. Facultypositions located in the Nathan Weiss Graduate College may requireevening hours for graduate course assignments.All tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitmentto teaching excellence and an on-going program of research andpublication or creative and performance activity. Participation incurriculum development, student advisement and service at thedepartmental/school, college, university and community level isalso required. Interest or experience in using advancedinstructional technologies to improve the teaching/learning processis highly desirable. Proficiency in the Learning Management System,Blackboard and Online Learning Pedagogy is required, consistentwith University guidelines.
