That it happened to be in straights, it helps me for to save energy for the rest of the tournament.” He added.World number one Rafael Nadal is also through to the quarterfinals after he saw off Jiri Vesely of the Czech Republic 6-3 6-3 6-4 in their last 16 clash.The Spaniard will face the winner of the fourth round clash between Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina and Frenchman Gilles Simon in his first Wimbledon Open quarterfinal since 2011.The match between Del Potro and Simon was suspended on Monday and will resume on Tuesday with the Argentine leading by two sets to one (7-6 (7-1) 7-6 (7-5) 5-7).Former world number one Novak Djokovic has also booked his spot in the last eight of the tournament with a 6-4 6-2 6-2 victory over Karen Kachanov of Russia in their fourth round clash on Monday.The three-time champion will now face Kei Nishikori of Japan for a place in the semifinals.Nishikori beat Ernests Gulbis of Latvia 4-6 7-6 (7-1) 7-6 (12-10) 6-1 in the last round to setup a meeting with the Serbian.last_img
