first_imgThe Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali has announced that this year’s UNICEF Check Out For Children charity event will be something totally different. Instead of its usual concert featuring rising stars in the music industry, the resort has chosen to host an uplifting session of beach family yoga.This energising activity will take place on Sunday 27 November 2016 starting at 4pm on a stretch of white sand beach overlooking the glistening waters of the Indian Ocean. It will be an opportunity for families to spend quality time together whilst giving back to those in need. The class will be conducted by the resort’s resident Wellness Specialist, Jitendra Pokhriyal. Hailing from the birthplace of yoga in India, Jitendra is highly experienced in various lifestyle practices including meditation.For a fee of just IDR 150,000 net per person, every participant will receive an exclusive water bottle and enjoy an hour-long session of yoga. This will involve gentle stretching and synchronised breathing exercises to promote physical and spiritual wellbeing. Mineral water and healthy SuperFoodsRX refreshment will also be available for all yoga participants.Other highlights during the event will include lively entertainment, interactive food stalls and a fully supervised kids’ corner to keep little ones occupied. In addition, there will be lucky draws throughout the afternoon and a silent auction with bids being taken for an exceptional array of giveaways.With the theme “Shining Bright for 20 Years & Beyond”, this inspiring event celebrates the resort’s ongoing commitment to the UNICEF and its Check Out For Children programme. All proceeds raised will aid UNICEF funding of programmes to provide clean water and better hygiene for children in developing countries. UNICEF estimates that 1400 children die each day from diseases caused by dirty water and poor sanitation, the partnership has committed to provide all children, everywhere in Asia Pacific, with access to clean water and basic sanitation.last_img
